A part of me has gone to England- is that like a holiday? The Shore - Serpentine Shuswap Marble Contemporary Sculpture that swivels on a Vancouver Island Marble base and Fluid - Alabaster Sculpture now live in the U.K. It was a day of fun, reconnection, laughter and play in the studio. It was a great day.
We will be there tomorrow night for the artist opening. Looking forward to this event and to spending time with family too!
Standing Rock- Water for Life has gone to its forever home in Vancouver. It took a trip from Vancouver to Gabriola for a surprise birthday to pick up this piece that was first spotted in the Arts in Action Fair in Qualicum last Saturday. Its name has a very special meaning for its new owner. It was a privilege to witness and experience this event and loving couple.
Great day in Qualicum in front of Tosh Arts Centre. Taking a break in the afternoon watching the judging for the Plein Air Grand Prix.
Saturday July 22, come and see the artists in Art in Action and the Grand Prix Painting competition in Qualicum. We will be at Booth #28
Let it Grow - 48" Hydrostone Sculpture with Cold Cast Bronze and pigmented resin was one of the pieces that sold this weekend at Art in the Garden in Nanoose Bay. A lovely weekend and beautiful venue. Some new connections, old connections, family connections, a few sore muscles but mostly a whole lot of fun.
As we were hanging the pieces for the Art in the Park event in Nanoose Bay this morning, we very much missed the presence of Dawn and the colourful energy she brought. Then I thought of her new owners and and smiled. Dawn definitely found a loving home a few weeks ago, she is with a sister piece and we couldn't be happier.
One of the most enjoyable parts of being an artist, is the people that we meet, the stories that they share and their genuine appreciation of art.
I just want to say thank you. Thank you for allowing me to see my art through your eyes.
Had a great weekend in this beautiful venue in Nanoose Bay. The favorite part was the people. The ones who come to see the art, the artists and sculptors.
